You will fail if:
1) You jump aboard the first opportunity you see on internet that promises you 64,000$ per month income…..Your first month…
2) You start spending money on advertising without testing, tracking anything and with no knowledge on how to do it.
3) After 2 months you realize you lose money instead of making some. So you think you are not advertising enough. So now you are impulse to a lottery mentality and spend 5000$ on advertising… To get only 2 sales on that…
4) You quit the business to start right away on the next affiliate program you see on the net. (but you don’t know if its a good one for you).
5) You take a different approach and start learning how to do online marketing the right way. downside you learn but rarely apply…That is the 80/20 rule in full effect.
6)You wonder why you are not making money cause you think you got yourself in a push button business. But really you start understanding that you actually have to work to get money. (no magic formula exist)
7) You get mad of not making results and seeing so many testimonials on internet who made a fortune. So you max out your credit card. Just to find out that it wasn’t enough to make a decent profit.
8) You take your kids school funds to pay your credit card debts
9) You quit your present business to jump over the latest product launch on the net… (you’ll soon realize that you are the reason of your failure). Because you first took the business as a hobby….. And its not a hobby….
10) You get serious about it and start getting organized. But between your job and this you see that 3 hours per day is not enough. so half of the work is done. You start getting very tired and in debt but you don’t want to quit. Will you have the secret? Is there a secret to make money online? you are getting sick by all the thinking. So even less is done…
11) Its now time to pay your credit card, but you have no more money left and the kids school funds is already taken (oops) so you ask your boss at work to give you more hours. (you pass even less time on internet…)
12) Your wife (or husband) finds out how much money you lost and wants to divorce (thats a bad thing)
The good side: he or she’ll have to pay half of your debts so you get a brief relief… )
…….Ok thats quite harsh, but you can avoid all this. If you have just started, or you are advance you need to truly understand that
1) The competition is really high. Its your unique approach that will help you succeed.
2) You should invest 2 to 6 months of learning the various types of marketing. So you can choose your style. If you wish to start right away, choose a low ticket business. Around 10$ to 20$ a month is fair enough. ppgdi.com and mymoneyfish.com are good 10$ business examples.
3) You need to know who is your sponsor, whats his background, is he or she going to be able to teach you right. Or is he or she going to let you in the dark? Basically, If you can learn from them, stick with them.
4) You need to know the company, the compensation plan, the owner. Is the business model to your liking?
5) You can start a business right away but you must start with free marketing before going to paid advertising… Even if you have money in your bank to spend now, do not go for paid advertising.
6) You have to want to be there for the long run (3 to 10 years minimum). This means take the time to learn the basics. learn to walk before you run…
7) Be aware of your why. Why do you want to invest your time into internet marketing? Let it be clear in your mind at all time.
It’s a must to be organized when you work on your computer. Learn to save time to do a maximum of task. Write down your daily task. Keep focus. It might seem simple but that’s one major cause of high drop-out rate. Loosing focus will discourage you after a few months. 9) Once you have learned the basics you can now transform yourself into a leader and brand yourself. Showing others how you can help them achieve their goals will eventually make you achieve YOUR goal. Branding yourself effectively will drive people into your business.
10) Open a word sheet to write your ideas. There are multiple free training webinars all over the internet. Attend some and then write and apply what you have learned. Share with others what you find useful to use in your marketing arsenal.
11) Be careful also not to take credits for everything you do. Don’t get me wrong, its a good thing to be look upon as a leader. The problem I find with that is too much of “me me me me” is a real turn off to your visitors, customers, and prospects.
12) Making a living online, sales are a must. Just promoting the affiliate page the company gives you won’t do the trick. People needs to know what you can do for them. You have to build a relationship with your future customers. Give value, with techniques that are working for you now. Make it clear and simple for your prospects. And be there for them.
13) Visit some marketing blogs to get ideas on how they are building their website. Our hot button is constantly being pushed. Instead of acting like you are watching a movie, bring a scientific approach to it. Focus on what is motivating you and why? Ask questions that will help you advance.
